Tibetan Prayer Flags are auspicious flags that contain images of deities, mantras and prayers. They are traditionally believed to bring happiness, peace, prosperity, good fortune, health and victory over obstacles.
Each colour of the flag symbolises an element. White symbolises air, Red is fire. Green is water, Yellow is earth, and Blue is wind. They also represent directions North, South, East, West and Center.
Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space.
